Princess Anne's fetish inspired underwear picture is her most risqué royal move yet

Many people often link the Royal Family with being prim and proper, adhering to strict traditions and following age-old protocols when in public.

However, it's evident that Princess Anne, the sister of King Charles III, is taking a bold step forward with her new, daring lingerie photo, which is likely among her most audacious royal actions to date.

You might never have imagined seeing 'Princess Anne' and 'fetish underwear' in the same sentence, but there's a first for everything!

This somewhat surprising and incredibly unusual scenario unfolded when the 75-year-old visited Caerphilly in South Wales last week (15 September) in her ongoing role as president of the UK Fashion and Textile Association.

During the visit, Anne arrived at the luxury underwear brand Edge o’ Beyond’s workshop to emphasize the benefits of garment manufacturing in the UK.

She unveiled a plaque on one of the brand’s underwear displays, making for quite the, shall we say, unexpected royal photo opportunity.

According to Edge o' Beyond’s founder, Naomi De Haan, Anne was 'very cool, very interested in everything', and apparently 'came across as very feminist', she told The Telegraph.

While at the workshop, employees demonstrated to Anne how they crafted their jewelry-adorned lingerie as she toured their studio and conversed with the machinists.

She was also seen discussing the process of corset construction without the use of whalebone and addressing issues around 'censorship of the female body' - something that the outlet reports can complicate the promotion of lingerie products on social media.

Reflecting on the visit afterwards, Ms De Haan expressed: "It was an immense honor to welcome Her Royal Highness to our atelier.

"Her profound understanding of the fashion and textile industry and her genuine curiosity were inspiring for our entire team.

"This visit is recognition of the exceptional skills of our technicians and a celebration of preserving British lingerie craftsmanship."

"We were so proud to welcome Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, President of the UK Fashion + Textile Association, to our South Wales Atelier last week, to mark our 11th anniversary, and to celebrate our commitment to reviving garment manufacturing in the UK," Edge o' Beyond captioned an Instagram carousel of the visit.

"Her Royal Highness’s deep understanding of the fashion + textile industry and her genuine curiosity were inspiring for our entire team."

The company concluded by praising the support they've received: "This visit is recognition of the exceptional skills of our technicians, and a celebration of keeping British lingerie craftsmanship alive.

"We can’t wait to share more with you soon, thank you for all your wonderful support over the last 11 years!"
